Levels of Refurbishment

Reprocessing

 

  • Devices are checked to see if they meet the Original Equipment Manufacturer(OEM) standards. After that, they’re cleaned, disinfected and sterilized.

  • Power sources are checked for wear.

  • We inspect the equipment for signs of damage and deterioration.

  • We validate the performance of components.

Cosmetic Refurbishment

 

  • Devices are tested to meet OEM specifications.

  • All units go through extensive cleaning.

  • Units are restored through sanding, priming, painting, and decals resulting in a blemish-free product.

  • Painting and other surface modifications are done before the equipment leaves the warehouse.

Replacement of Parts

 

  • When devices do not meet their OEM specifications, biomedical engineers/technicians will replace the necessary parts, and then cosmetically refurbish the equipment. 

  • Batteries are replaced.

  • Any components that fail are repaired or replaced.

Full Refurbishment

 

  • Complete overhaul of a device. 

  • Biomeds will replace major parts and give a full repair to meet or exceed OEM specifications.

  • Units are fully reassembled and retested for further repair and calibration.

  • Includes final testing and calibration plus quality testing(repeatability tests).

  • All processes done to the equipment are properly recorded for reference.
